Sponsorship of the Portland Fine Print Fair/West Coast Print Fair benefits the activities and acquisitions of the Museum’s Department of Prints & Drawings. Since we are unable to gather in person in 2021, we have partnered with PrintFairsUSA (founded by two friendly PFPF dealers) to produce an online fair featuring forty-seven exhibitors and more than 2,000 works of art on paper, from the 15th century to the 21st. Over the past eight years, the Print Fair has grown from an ad hoc gathering of exhibitors to the premier fair on the West Coast. I delight in watching people buy and browse at the Fair, ask questions, and share their finds. For me, the Museum, and our thousands of visitors, the Print Fair is an educational event, acquisition opportunity, and party rolled into one.
